Privacy Policy

Mac Nudge helps you approve dialogs on a Mac you own or administer from Nudge Remote, the iPhone companion. This policy explains what the Mac app, Nudge Remote, and relay service process to provide that feature.

Information Mac Nudge Processes

The Mac app uses macOS Accessibility permission to inspect active dialog windows on your Mac. It reads dialog text, app names, window roles, and button labels locally so it can show the same prompt on your paired iPhone. Mac Nudge does not use Screen Recording and does not stream your screen, keyboard, or mouse.

The relay service processes pairing identifiers, device identifiers, device names you choose, APNs device tokens, connection status, approval counts, and encrypted prompt or approval payloads. Prompt text and approval commands are encrypted end-to-end between your Mac and iPhone; the relay is designed not to read the dialog text or button labels.

How Information Is Used

Mac Nudge and Nudge Remote use this information to pair your devices, notify your iPhone when a Mac dialog is waiting, route your approval back to the Mac, and show whether the Mac and phone are connected.

Notifications

Nudge Remote asks for notification permission so it can alert you when your paired Mac needs approval. Notification messages are generic and do not include dialog text, passwords, file names, or other sensitive prompt contents.

Secrets And Sensitive Prompts

Mac Nudge is not intended to collect passwords, Keychain secrets, or account credentials. Prompts involving passwords, Keychain access, or macOS security settings are routed to the Mac Access area and require physical access, Screen Sharing, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or another direct Mac access method. Safe dismissals such as Cancel, Deny, or Don't Allow may still be available remotely.

Sharing

Mac Nudge does not sell personal information. The service relies on hosting providers to run the relay and Apple Push Notification service to deliver iPhone notifications. Those providers process data only as needed to operate the service.

Retention And Controls

Pairing credentials and local settings are stored in Keychain or local app storage on your devices. Relay state is kept only as needed to route current approval state and device registrations. You can remove a paired Mac from Nudge Remote or unpair the iPhone from the Mac status window.
